*Rules regarding Prize Pool Eligibility:

1. Players MUST complete all tournament rounds to be eligible for prizes.

2. Players get to pick their prize from the prize pool.

3. Prizes will be awarded beginning with the top tournament record and continue down.

Tie-Breakers will be determined by head to head matchup results

Secondary Tie-Breakers will be determined by a coin flip

The Champion will not be decided by a coin flip


All competing participants that complete the K2 CHALLENGE will be awarded a prize.

If we can't make the Friday game, can we come for just the Saturday tournament?

Absolutely.  Yes.

The previously mentioned Prize Pool is for the Saturday Main Event.  Not participating in the Friday night Draft tournament will not affect your eligibility for the prize pool on Saturday.

Please keep in mind that we have put in a stipulation that requires completion of the Saturday Main Event Tournament (Meaning you play all required rounds) to qualify for a prize.

My cousin and I have been talking with most of the players quite a bit.

It looks like the turnout will likely be between 15-20 players.   

We are hoping for 20+ and put up a lot in prizes in the hopes of drawing a few more people.

Is there anyone you are curious about in particular?  Most groups have already booked their rooms.

Hope this event is a smashing success! Awesome prize pool and I'm sure the competition will be fierce. It would be hard to justify taking time off to travel to play Overpower, but the allure of a high level event is undeniable.

If the turnout to this justifies your effort and you hold future events, some of the California crew may try to make it out to the next one.

PS - if a lazy Spawn Any Hero deck wins, everyone owes me 50 push-ups.

Tomorrow starts the 10 day countdown until the K2.  As Onslaught said, the competition will be fierce, so be ready!

I would add my name to the list, but coming from Iowa on such short notice is a little difficult for me.  Besides, I am just now getting back in to the game.

Good to see you posting on the board.  At the K2 event, everyone is welcome and will have fun regardless of skill level. 

While some people at this event play semi-regularly, many will be playing in a tournament for the first time in over a decade. 

If you do decide to make the journey, feel free to call the Atherton in State college and ask for the overpower rate.  Send me a private message or post any additional questions here.
